This morning we went to the CAAT in Grugliasco where Specchio dei tempi decided to support the activity of the 200 volunteers of Food Solidarity, the association led by Alberto Saluzzo that every Friday recycles 15 tons of fruit and vegetables “leftover” by the traders of the Wholesale Markets. Some of these foodstuffs are delivered to the elderly of our Forza Nonni project and another part is delivered to our Breakfast for the poor at Casa Santa Luisa. Specchio has provided the association with a van and also with adequate industrial shelving.
This support will continue over time and foresees important developments in the autumn. Yesterday, at CAAT, we also met the president of Rotaract Piemonte-Valle d’Aosta, Gerard Davy with whom we laid the foundations for a common event in September, to support the activity of Food Solidarity. Together for a Turin that is moving along the right path.
