The Italian foundation “La Stampa-Specchio dei tempi” has been close to Sri Lanka for over 15 years. It will continue to be so even after the appalling series of attacks that have devastated the Country. The foundation is launching a subscription to help orphans and families affected by this unprecedented violence. We will try to bring to the poorest of those affected, along with practical help, also a sign of friendship from a distant Country that knows how to share these immense dramas. The Italian foundation has opened the subscription with 10,000 euros: to this amount we will add all the upcoming donations. The aids will be, as always, rapid and real: in the next few days we will be making contacts to intervene in the Negombo area, the most affected by the fury of the terrorists, where Specchio dei tempi has already operated, in 2004, immediately after the tsunami.
